I had horrible side effects (especially mental/emotional) from birth control and none of them on spiro, if that’s what you’re nervous about it might be worth a try!

tbh after many of you positively recommended me Spiro, I put it a request with Nurx haha. it’s something I eyed for a while but I wanted to try changing my skincare first the last year, but considering I posted on Reddit, I’ve just been really lost and frustrated with nothing changing. I’m excited to try it 😳 but is there anything I should be aware of when I start? Is there a purging period, or any products I should avoid?

Not that I remember — I’d say stick with your routine/what you know works! I don’t think there’s a purging period the way there would be with actives but it DOES take about 2-3 months to really start to work and for your body to adjust. Just takes time to see the changes, like anything. The big thing for me (unrelated to skin!) was that it lowers your blood pressure and makes you need to pee more lol! So make sure you eat before doing anything active and bear that in mind (I never woke up having to pee in the middle of the night or anything but I’d wake up with a full bladder first thing in the AM like clockwork 😆)!
