If upright is the physicality of the relationship working well, then the reverse would be things not going as expected. Perhaps there are expectations that aren't met, or things just aren't working out there. The 8 of Cups shows the figure walking away under the moon. There is a sense of cycles or timing, and things just not lining up quite right. Maybe you guys are at emotionally different places right now, but it does imply there is joy for a time. Which leads us to the Sun. There is optimism and joy, and also truth. You have no trouble being honest with each other, and I think you are happy in each other's company as your personalities match energy very well.
