My first time over wintering fig trees. I live in 8b so I can leave my trees outside. Can potted figs sit out in the rain over winter or do they need to be covered? They dont like wet feet so Is this an issue when the trees are dormant?

I got this LDA along with a lsu purple and a few others in the spring. The LDA and lsu purple stopped growing when I up potted them. It's been months now with no growth. The trees are alive and dont look like theres anything wrong with them. They just stalled. It's a bit up setting. Why this happen?

I have no idea what kind of fig this is but the tree is atleast 40 years old and 50 feet tall. I found some ripe breba on it yesterday and even though the fruit looks like it might be bland it's not it's REALLY good. It is bursting with flavor and I can hardly wait for more to ripen.
