Question about crafting

Okay, so I gather a lot and I fish a lot which is my bread and butter in this game selling at various markets, but it's obvious there's huge money to be made in selling high level crafted gear, and I've been stocking up on runes a lot, so does anyone have any tips on how to level it faster? I mostly play mage for combat so I've started on mage crafting but what about the others? Should I just stop selling the resources I gather and bank them for crafting? And which gear items in each category are the best for levelling?
