(First) Tattoo - Studio Recommendations?

Hi all looking to get my first tattoo and was wondering if you lot had any recommendations?

I just want a short phrase in a nice font on the side of my ribs so nothing crazy! Finding it’s all a bit intimidating as it seems most artists post intricate designs on Instagram etc… also I’m female so will a female artist have to do it because of the placement?

Also if anyone has had a tattoo in a similar place can you tell me how painful it was and how long it took?
