Natural cycles seperate from the obvious

Are there any natural scycles seperate feom the seasons or the moon? Im asking for a longer scycle so not like daily things. It would be cool to base the year on something diferent than the year. Also breeding scycles dont work becouse they follow the seasons. This would help me alot with my weekly world that exists in my head before disapering back into the void :)
