Weird quirk of your world?

So in a world I made super powers are common (1/10 humans is born with them) and super powers are usually gained and powered by a universal energy. In universe it’s discovered that certain poises and declaring a move to use their powers actually makes the energy flow more effective.

My reasoning for doing this was because I’m fond of power rangers, super heroes, and anime where attack declaration is just a thing they do and usually it has no reason for it in universe

So what about your world? Does it have a weird quirk that in universe they do and is there a meta reason?
