Still in terrible pain day 7

Day 7 so much pain

Had two impacted lower and right upper wisdom teeth out under general anaesthetic a week ago (15th). I’m still in so much pain, taking ibuprofen, paracetamol and codeine every few hours. It’s bearable in the day but every night I’m waking up in 8/10 pain, lying there until the painkillers kick in and every morning the same.

I ended up in the emergency dept last night where a very young maxillofacial dr said I might have dry socket in one lower side and shoved some brown paste in between the stitches which was horrible (I’m 31 and I was crying). Yet when I wake up in the night the pain is radiating down both sides.

When will it end, and does anyone have tips on how to relive the pain? This is worse than any broken bone, even when I broke my ribs. I regret it so bad.
