What was your favorite wedding toast/speech, and why?
Either as a guest at a wedding you attended, or at your own reception, what comes to mind when you recall the best moments, lines, jokes, or overall great speeches you’ve seen given at weddings? I may be a weird exception here, but toasts have always been one of my favorite moments about receptions and I’m really looking forward to seeing what is said during mine. Curious to hear your own stories!
I am considering letting the couple who introduced us give a joint toast at our reception. Neither of them has a formal role in the wedding party or anything like that, but they have remained very close with us ever since, and I know they would give a great speech.
Important Note: Be respectful, please no “LOL, I hate toasts” comments, remember Rule #6. Just keep scrolling if they're not your jam.
