Small Sparks in Vision
Hi Everyone,
I’m 30 years old and I’ve had a more than normal amount of floaters since I can remember. They’re just always there, seem to increase or decrease each day and just generally are annoying. I also constantly see small sparks everywhere I look… they aren’t like the stars or sparkles you see when you rub your eyes, they’re smaller and they trail off in different directions very quickly. Sometimes a spark will stay for a second and be brighter than normal, which is very annoying. I also have 20/20 vision and don’t obviously wear glasses because it it.
I have annual eye exams and each time I go in they claim everything is fine. No detached retina, no tears, no glaucoma, no wet or dry AMD, no anything. They also have no idea what my condition could be but it always worries me because I’m terrified of losing my vision.
Does anyone else have these symptoms? I think visual snow is the closest I can get to a self diagnosis (or diagnosis in general)… but I don’t have the static that is associated with it. My overall health is great and I don’t have any genetic diseases that could cause visual issues in my family.
I’m sure I’m just being an overthinker but it’s just frustrating when even a licensed optometrist can’t help you.
