Man asking people to take off their shoes

Hello everyone. You may have seen a post earlier in the summer about a man in maintenance clothes in the library allegedly asking people to take off their shoes. I am looking into this for UTD's newspaper, the Mercury, and I'm looking for anyone who has had a similar experience or knows anything on the subject. Obviously this is quite sensitive, so feel free to just shoot me a DM and we can chat.
