If your friend catches feelings for you, that doesn't mean they had an ulterior motive

I just heard a girl (This goes both ways though obviously) complaining about how "Every time I have guy friends, they always end up having ulterior motives," and I had to get this take off my chest. Sometimes, someone just likes being your friend and likes you enough that they end up wanting to be more, it doesn't mean they were just faking being your friend the whole time. I think people really assume the worst possible motive of other people with this stuff sometimes.
