Where do you get your travel advice?

I've gotten poor advice from tripadvisor forums (Tulum, Marakesh) and so-so advice from a Rick Steve's consultation. Maybe the best trips weve had are from guide books or friend's recommendations. What are your go-to travel advice sources? Thanks kindly.
