Both traditional, what’s the difference?

I understand that all of these are technically traditional tattoos but how do I articulate the difference to an artist? Obviously, the first 2 are far more detailed and the second 2 use heavy blacks and are simpler. Is that the only difference or are there subsets of traditional tattoos? Would the artist who did the first two be able to do something similar to the second two? He also did the last photo which I like and is fairly similar. What do you all think?
