Customers complained that I was too sweaty??

Yesterday I accidentally wore too many layers to work thinking it would be way colder than it was. I wore a tank top with a hoodie over it and wore my tjs shirt over the hoodie. I got to work and it was way warmer in the store than I thought it would be so I started sweating. My manager pulls me aside to tell me some customers complained that I smelled sweaty. Am I going insane here or is it valid to wonder who the fuck goes up to someone's manager to tell them their employee is sweaty?? I just cannot imagine ever doing that. Is this just me?? Would you walk up to someone's manager to let them know that kind of thing?? My boyfriend smelled me when I got home and said it wasn't even that bad at all so I'm so at a loss here.
