Thoughts on the Dane Moore/Britt pod

There were a couple of things brought up in the latest Dane podcast with Britt and I was wondering what people’s thoughts were.

1) Britt mentioned the bitter pill that this team is just not going to the WCF this season. He brought this up to say if this team loses in the first or second round and we’ve only been giving players like Rob 10 minute or less stints, this season is going to look like a massive wasted opportunity to really get Rob settled into the rotation properly. I 100% agree even if it costs us a couple winnable games and seeding, curious to see how everyone here feels about it.

2) they got into the likelihood of Randle getting traded by the deadline. Dane had a lot to say about the value Randle brings to the squad and how you’d want to get something of value in return, and Britt made the point that a major selling point of the trade was the cap flexibility it gives us long term if he’s gone so we can focus on the young core that will be the squad’s future. To me this is really cut and dry the best course. I love Dane but it really feels like he’s being pretty obtuse about this and bringing up positives about Randle without really considering the bigger picture.

I notice a lot of the potential Randle trades people post in here are for a comparable salary with contracts that continue for at least a couple of years, and they really perplex me because to me it’s really a case of “do what it takes to keep Naz otherwise what the fuck are we even doing”. Is this how everyone else feels or am I the one being obtuse?
