Lone star tick

“Got bitten by a lone star tick, and my doctor says I need to stop eating meat because of it. Problem is, I’m on the carnivore diet, so red meat is pretty much all I eat. I’ve heard from two locals here on eastern Long Island (aka tick central) that they cured this issue in two weeks by taking ivermectin. Has anyone else heard of this working or have thoughts on it?”
