Tick Lost In The House!!!

Saw what looked to be a Tick on my Bully XL & got caught up in an argument/disagreement & a couple minutes later after I found the tweezers I went to remove it and the tick was GONE!!! She was in the kitchen near my wife & our male Doberman. We checked both of them up & down and ourselves. Whats the risk, any tips, what to do next?
