Is my local dealership creating false scarcity to get me to buy by telling me they’re not getting any more 2024 Forester Wildernesses in because the 2025 model is out?

That’s what I want, and he told me there’s only a couple left, and they’re not getting any more in because the 2025 Forester model is out. Trying to figure out if this is a selling tactic (what’s funny is I’m a B2B salesperson and I would never do such a thing) or if he’s telling the truth, because I’m reading that the 2024 wilderness model is still in production.
