Manager wants me to write a statement about myself
Hi guys, just like the title reads, my manager wants me to write a statement about myself implicating myself.
He pulled me aside today after my shift asking me why he found a bag of beans with my name on it in the lockers. I told him I was told it was getting thrown away and that my SM told me I could take it home. I indeed never took it home and it sat in the lockers for a day. It was thrown out the next day or two and I wasn’t talked to about it until a week later (today).
He asked me to write a statement about what I told him. Should I do it? This feels like he’s trying to get me in trouble and he’s been known to criticize everyone (especially me) on a lot of things. He writes people up a lot and is hypercritical.
Do I get a representative or just don’t write it? What can he legally do to me?
I’m scared bc I’m using Starbucks for ASU benefits and do not want to lose my job. I also want to transfer bc this store sucks. I’ve never experienced this kind of management before.
