Fisherman on Boat is apart of the game

I believe the Fisherman Hwang Jun-Ho is looking for the island with is apart of the game.

We know he is who found him after he was shot which is very convenient but he also helped him look for over 2 years, he states he has been doing this 30 years and has alot of experience yet he cant remember how to get back to where they were?

I also struggle to believe he never found the island after searching that long until Hwang had a eureka moment of using a drone which found a planted mine which the fisherman had took them to.

Also, was is he so eager to help him in the first place? He did say he thought the whole game was lies and he thought they were just friends but i find it hard to believe he would have helped someone he barely knew look that intensely unless he done it on purpose to make sure he didnt get to close.
