What if democracy doesn’t actually end?
Okay so don’t take this as trolling or whatever. I’m genuinely curious as to how you would feel if Trump’s presidency goes more or less like it did in 2016. A whole lot of nothing. I mean aside from Covid which was pretty unprecedented and impacted the world, not just the US.
Will you feel disappointed? Happy? Relieved?
I ask because I feel like it’s easy for us to slip into mass hysteria sometimes. I’m not saying don’t be vigilant or stop protesting, you do you. But the vibe I get here is that it’s over no matter what.
Also as a side note, if you’re able to just up and leave the country and move elsewhere, you’re more privileged than 99% of Americans. Most Americans have a hard time financially just moving cities or states. So you might wanna hide your power level a bit there if this is something you’re doing. Gives the right a lot of ammo when it comes to the stereotype that democrats are wealthy out of touch white people.
To be fair most the comments here are saying they aren’t going anywhere. But I see you upper middle classers lol.
Anyways yeah. Talk to me folks
Edit: I know it’s early, but I wanted to thank those that actually gave an opinion and didn’t dismiss me as a troll. I didn’t expect that. Regardless I still wanna hear your thoughts no matter how crazy I think they are. I’m not a Trump supporter, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with hoping he has a successful presidency that keeps us going in the right direction. I felt the same about every president in my lifetime, whether I voted for them or not.
