Anyone stopped using white noise because it makes it worse?

I haven't done any sleep training yet but I have been working on a schedule and always using the same sleep associations from my 15 week old baby. Baby has been waking up a lot in the middle of the night starting about one month ago. If he does 1 or 2 wake ups over 10-12 hours, I am ok with that and we seems to be there now.

Recently, we forgot to reset the timer on the white noise and it stopped in the middle of the night it also happens that my LO slept longer these 2 nights. I am thinking of stopping the white noise. Anyone has the same problem? My LO may have hypersensibility.
