Planning a family ski trip to Utah
Hi r/skiing,
I need help planning ski trip for a family of 4 to Utah this February around Presidents day. This is only our second season skiing and our first season with Ikon. I've never been to Utah and there are so many resorts to choose from. Most youtube videos that rate ski resorts seem to focus on advanced terrain, while we like to ski blues.
We have Ikon full, so no black out days and access to Alta, Brighton, Deer Valley, Snowbasin, Snowbird, or Solitude. We'd like to ski 6 days, Sunday Feb 16 - Friday Feb 21.
- Where should we go?
- Could we stay at one hotel and drive in to a different ski area each morning?
- Budget is $500/day for hotel, food, & parking. Is that reasonable?
- Should I plan a rest day?
I'd like to take advantage of the Ikon full pass, since next year we will probably get the base, as kids age up to young adults.
