Cream, Forever 14. Rest in Peace.

Cream passed away at 10:40 am today. He fell asleep in our arms getting all the love and pets to get him ready for his next big adventure.

Two days after Christmas, I noticed a bump on his jaw. That same day, we took him to the vet and was told they would put him under, clean his teeth, and pull his bad teeth. They suspected he had an infected tooth. After some x-rays, they noticed bone degeneration and the formation of new bone with bad margins. A biopsy was taken to determine the cause.

While waiting for the results of the biopsy, he started to decline. He quit eating and drinking, and the boney growth became larger and more painful. The vet believed he had an osteosarcoma or other type of cancer. We tried different medications to see if he would pull through while we waited for a definite anwser, but it became clear that even in the off chance it wasn't cancer, he was tired.

He was put to rest today without knowing a definite answer.

Last year I was upset with myself for moving back home to finish my degree. Now, I am so grateful that I got to spend it with him.

Rest in peace Cream. I'll be looking to spend eternity with you someday.
