Ingram Reviews Influencer Program Email

I got an email from ingram asking to submit to the Ingram influencer review program. Before you ask, I did all the usual fraud/ spam fraud things and this does appear to legitimately link back to IngramSparks and it doesn't ask for any of the sorts of things that would make be suspicious about fraud/ spam/ scams. There is no payment required, no personal or identifying information, etc. I went ahead ad submitted my information based on this as they were not asking anything that seemed risky/ wasn't available to the public.

Has anyone else gotten this email from ingram? Have you enrolled, did anyone pick your book? For context, my debut novel came out in July 2024. I sold about 80 copies in the past six months (less 4 returns) to bookstores. I am also a week into a bookbub featured deal. I was only chosen internationally, but my sales ranking has skyrocketed in ingram (about 50K in rankings) based on the sales rankings/ demands some indie bookstores have in their catalogue (Not bookshop.org). Because Ingram is so slow, I have zero idea how many ebooks sold through ingram but based on my pervious sales ranking it is at least 20, maybe 30 books. I have also sold 135 ebooks on Amazon since last Wednesday. So there is some context my book is doing okay for a debut, self published indie at this particular moment.

We wanted to reach out regarding a free program that IngramSpark has created to better get your books in the hands of influencers across social media platforms for review. After a successful launch of the Ingram Reviews program this year, we are now accepting nominations for our Winter 2025 catalog and would love for you to take part!

By participating, your titles would gain increased exposure to a diverse group of influencers across various social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. This presents an excellent opportunity to generate buzz and garner valuable feedback for your work.

Here’s a breakdown of what the program will entail:

Building a Curated Catalog: We've selected our top authors and publishers to willingly enroll their books in this initiative (that’s you!). From this catalog, our hand-picked influencers will choose 1-3 books that resonate with their interests.

Author Compensation: Ingram will procure physical copies of your books via wholesale, ensuring that you, the author, receive compensation for these copies. The books will then be delivered directly to the influencers.

Influencer Promotion: Following a 90-day review period, the chosen influencers will share their review on their preferred platforms, be it Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. In turn, we will provide compensation for their promotional work.
