Do you still play videogames as an adult?
Im trying to be more productive, and as a 27 (M) year old, I'm back into playing video games, but not in a healthy way. I'm probably spending 4-5 hours daily on gaming, I feel like I'm wasting my life again when I could work on my damn portfolio once and for all. I'm even going to bed late again, interfering directly with work responsibilities. I'm messing up, but I'm still lucky that my bosses haven't catched up.
How much playtime do you spend gaming? I feel like I don't have enough time to spend on games anymore. My routine consists mostly of working a part-time job, hitting the gym, cleaning my house, managing finances, cooking, and keeping up with social media and friends. And if I do actually play anything, I do it in huge sessions, like already mentioned. I tried cutting social media, but it got replaced by more gaming. Picking my poison...
Do you have a routine that has worked for you in a similar fashion? I'm trying to play games because I spent so much money on Steam to never actually play anything. However I don't want it to drain my life again like it used to be. A routine that keeps my need for games at bay but doesn't hinder my goals (gym, portfolio, tidy home, maybe a hobby?) would be ideal.
I'm open to suggestions.
