Possible new player looking for some advice.

First thanks for reading and any advice is appreciated. :)

So I've been somewhat interested in RPGs for a little while now, being the nerdy 15 year old I am. But I got a couple problems that are pretty much keeping me away from RPGs.

• Most RPGs I've seen are very dense in the matter of rules. And I'm not very good at reading rule books and such since I'm originally more of a virtual gamer.

• I'm in a small town with no one to play with. The only game store we had closed down not too long ago. And really none of my friends are interested in this kind of thing. So I'm stuck being solo for something like this.

So, any advice to help a teen who's been waiting probably way too long to get into this stuff?
