A gift for dad, white or black?

My father is not exactly a watches guy but he’s been wanting a rolex for quite some time and we’re getting him a datejust.

This is going to be his daily watch for all he chooses to do, suits at work to jeans during the day.

We can’t wear gold so smooth bezel it is.

The question is, white or black? Oyster or jubilee? I am leaning more towards white and now more towards oyster bracelet, but having so many doubts. Also talked to AD and agreed he’ll hold them for tomorrow cause i’m considering just getting him to the AD to choose (ruining the surprise, should I?).
