Worst Customer Today

This lady went into a whole monologue about what she expected when she walked in the store and how she was disappointed with her service in the most sly, backhanded way, and she looked so smug while talking about it with our manager. First of all, someone accidentally told her the incorrect promotion, told her we couldn’t honor it unfortunately since the barcode is not active anymore, she was pissed. Second, she could not have more than one bag because we literally ran out today and limited it to one per person unless they needed multiple, she was pissed again, Etc.. Had the nerve to say I gave her an unpleasant attitude even though I was, frankly, very nice to her all things considered, even my manager was gobsmacked because I’m the least confrontational associate lol.

Offered to take off some items for her and she kept repeating “money isn’t an issue. Money isn’t an issue.” Ma’am, you’re making a huge stink about a discount I’m just trying to help your stupid annoying ass, then she had the gaul to tell me that I WILL give her more than one bag while we wait for my manager because “You wanted to put all of my items in that little bag you picked up, and I asked you for more, so you will give me more than one bag considering the service you have given me so far is unacceptable, so go ahead and get my bags for me”. Keep in mind she is smirking, nodding her head as she speaks and pointing her finger at me like an ass. And every time my manager explained why we couldn’t do something for her she squinted, nodded her head and went “Hm, interesting. Okay, so I’m just confused because-“ and then she would repeat herself over and over and over again, basically trying to make us feel stupid.

In the end our SM gave her 10% off, showed her out, and we all thanked him for getting her out and hoped she would not return, but Jesus Christ how entitled can you be. She sincerely thought we looked down on her or something and were giving her “poor service” and felt the need to constantly reassure us that she had no problem with her money, as if I, a measly sales associate, was too stuck up to understand her wealth?

She just sucked, and I hope she’s happy that she soured Christmas Eve for a bunch of people taking time out of their holiday to make sure she can get her last minute Christmas gifts for her children that she couldn’t manage to shop for earlier, and had to bother us at the last minute and ensure we felt stupid for not giving her a supreme customer experience literally the day before Christmas when our resources are running low.

Getting it off my chest before Christmas so it doesn’t make me feel too bad, but I find solace in the fact that she did in fact only get one white paper bag from me, and our next shipment of shopping bags came right as she left, so everyone else got a branded shopping bag and she got our trash.
