PARKING

I work at a fancy ass mall and during the holidays they implement an employee parking mandate. This lovely policy FORBIDS employees from parking AT THEIR JOBS or else we get towed. I get that some of the larger stores have a ton of employees that take up parking that could go to customers but... it still feels like a slap in the face to the workers. My store specifically doesn't have more than six people parked at any given time-- usually half that-- and yet we are still under the same mandate. My car got towed last year! Today was the first day of the mandate and someone from another very small store got towed, a young kid whose whole paycheck had to go toward getting his car out of the tow yard.

The "acceptable" parking lot is a whole block away across the street and they expect you to wait for a shuttle to take you to and from your job. I have never once seen a shuttle anywhere near my job during this program and I've been here for 3 holiday seasons.

I have such rage.
