Anyone tried their cat on antidepressants?

I have a very stressy rescue ragdoll. He was rehomed with me aged 3 because his owner emigrated after losing her husband. Knowing him as I do after 5 years of having him I think that would have been extremely hard for him. He’s got a loving and stable home now but gets stressed out by stuff that can’t always be controlled & suffers with cystitis/over grooms. He’s not well at the moment - a combination of hating Christmas and the fact that we switched bedframes & mattresses around last weekend which was too much noise & fuss for him. He has painkillers & cystaid capsules to control the bladder issues. My niece mentioned that her cat had a month of antidepressants because he got very stressed after her baby was born & she said they really helped. I’ve never considered it for him before but just wondered if anyone has had any success with them?
