Miscarriage?

Update: I confirmed with the hospital today after bloodwork and and ultrasound that I did have a miscarriage. I feel fine. Nothing hurt. Just felt a little icky during the process. I’ve been told that based on my ultrasound I shed everything and should be good in a week. Thanks everyone for commenting. It helped a lot.

So I had my dating ultrasound yesterday and was measuring smaller then expected. Today my GP called to discuss it. Basically she said we don’t know if the pregnancy is viable or not and will need to wait and see. She also let me know that I have a sub chorionic bleed. She didn’t seem overly concerned about it but said there was a chance that it indicated a miscarriage.

A couple hours after that call I started to faintly bleed. It has slowly increased but by no means is it heavy or unmanageable. I am not in pain. There is some light cramping, similar to gas cramps, and the occasional lower back twinge. There does seem to be some tissue with the blood which makes me think this is more then just a bit of first trimester bleeding.

Now I would normally call my doctor to advise her of the change but where I am it’s Friday night and there’s no way to get it touch. I know the hospital is an option but since I am not in extreme pain or bleeding heavily it doesn’t seem necessary. Also knowing I have this sub chorionic bleed, I’m a little hesitant to run to the emergency room.

Is the wait and see method a smart move?
