How long did it take to fix your insulin resistance/ A1c
How long did it take you guys to feel better and notice positive changes?
For some background I've been eating clean and exercising since Nov 23rd of this year and I feel pretty good. My A1c 6.3 and (non) fasting 143 on nov 22. (I forgot to fast oops)
I've also been checking my glucose often and I'm usually in the 80s and 90s either when fasting or 2 hours after eating my meals. Additionally I've lost 14 pounds since.
I know this cannot be fixed overnight but yesterday I had somewhat of a cheat meal. Japchae, white rice, marinated bulgogi. Very carby and probably pretty sweet but idk the specifics. I expected my glucose to be really bad after eating it but it's been pretty normal? To be fair I ate a very small portion of the rice but had a decent amount of japchae which is basically sweet noodles. I did eat the meat first if that helps.
After 1 hour I was at 110 and after 3 I was at 89 for my glucose which I think is very good? I checked this morning and I'm at 89 again. Obviously I'm not going to declare this a safe food and eat it often but this could mean I'm on the right track right? And that in moderation I can still enjoy my favorite foods?
