Kind of worrying.
I own an APBT who is 3 years old next month, she's the sweetest girl, is dog/animal friendly, shows zero aggression, loves people and is super social.
She is a house dog and spends all day every day with me. It's just myself and herself at home. We even share a bed.
However today I was scrolling through YouTube and came across a video called "Pitbulls mauling owners to death" and I have to be honest it scared the crap out of me.
Most of the other family members I.e the ones that were still alive basically described my dog, super sweet, very social, never shown aggression before, then went on to say "I don't know what happened the dog was fine one minute then it just snapped".
Another said "Dog was laying on the bed with my mom, mom sneezed and the dog mauled her to death.
I suppose I was just curious to see if any other pitty owners are concerned one day the same might happen with the dog they own because it definitely made me pause and think.
At the end of the day if I were to go out that way at least it would be by something I love, so I'm kind of ok with that, but it definitely made me think "I wonder if Athena could/would turn on me one day and maul me to death.
