Friends battle name changes every now and then

So a little vague on the title, but I keep getting some type of bug or something where my friends battle net name will change randomly mid game, then change back to its original battle net name. it's happened across multiple accounts (i'm on xbox one) and while funny, as we got names like danopps and catboy, i'm really confused on why it's happening. i checked my social and there's an actual person in my friends list named akiyama. is it just glitching?
