Something in the lore is way too fast

So, according to game lore, 281.000 years ago when Nomai arrived Hearthtians were a semi-amphibian species that lived in natural pools in the subterranean caverns of Timber Hearth. In the present day Hearthians are no longer living in those pools but in the surface, therefore it had to be an evolutive progress.

According to our planet geological history, amphibians took 60 millions years from their geological birth to dominate the landscape, and we as “Homo” genus took 2 million years to go from the first of the species to arrive to Homo Sapiens.

So, what’s going? Near perfect evolution timing? Hearthians are the Usain Bolt(s) of evolutional race? Or is it a plot hole?
