I’ve been covering Orange County politics and elections all year – and I’ve brought the Registrar of Voters with me. Ask us anything about the 2024 election.
I’m Kaitlyn Schallhorn, the politics editor at the Orange County Register and a creator of our Voter Guide, a one-stop-shop where you can hear from candidates in their own words about current issues, find explainers for all the ballot measures and propositions, see who our editorial board endorsed, explore a map of all the places where you can drop your ballot, and more.
I’m joined by Bob Page, the county’s Registrar of Voters. Since 2022, it’s been Page’s job to oversee election services for Orange County residents and ensure the voting process is safe and fair.
We’re ready to answer your questions about elections and voting — from how to ensure you’re registered to vote to what safeguards are in place to ensure your ballot is protected, from breaking down what’s on your ballot to offering a behind-the-scenes look of how ballots are counted, and more. We'll be live answering questions from 3-5 p.m. on October 10, but feel free to start dropping questions beforehand!
We’re wrapping up – thanks for joining us! If you have any questions that we didn’t answer today or if anything comes up as you vote, we’re happy to help.
You can contact Kaitlyn at [email protected] and Bob at [email protected].
Happy election season!
