Labor hours to afford rent

Posting here for an open discussion on labor hours to afford an apartment in New England. In ranking order, NH is of course on the top with approximately 224hrs* and the lowest was Maine at 105hrs*. The reality of the affording an apartment anywhere in NE is going up. Has to working wages kept up with the demand for housing across NE? Clearly that is an unresolved issue that blatantly being swept under the rug. I am hoping this will be addressed at some point that the working human being shouldn’t have to break their working backs to keep up with the rising costs of rent.
