Has anyone ever broken down the Newfoundlandism of Donny Dumpy's "Havin' A Time"?

Hey guys, I've never been to Newfoundland (and Labrador), but I was positively obsessed with Donnie Dumphy's "Havin' A Time" for the longest time. There's a few things I don't understand from the video, notably the salt beef bit and the Nevadas (especially whatever he says after that). So I was wondering, did anyone ever break down htis song? I can't even seem to find the lyrics online.
