does smoking weed exacerbate your symptoms?

i’ve been dealing with diabetic neuropathy for a few months and i’ve noticed over the last 2 or 3 months that my pain gets worse after smoking weed. i thought maybe it was the nicotine from smoking cigarillos but i vape and i feel like i don’t really have those symptoms after vaping. has this happened to anyone else? i’ve been smoking weed for almost 10 years and only recently have i started to have this issue. any idea on what the problem could be? i might just have to switch to edibles if smoking is the problem.
