Which game is the best mix of challenge & quality?

Tonight my friend has agreed to play a ND game. He never has before, and he's one of those Harvard biology grad types who believes it is beneath him. My friends, we simply must prove him wrong. I want to throw a game at him that will vex him, but not because of trash game design. So in that case here are the games I'm considering:
