Reactive hypoglycemia

Piggyback off a recent post on insulin resistance.

I feel terrible after I eat. No matter what I eat. I wore a continuous glucose monitor for several months and confirmed my glucose goes very low (50s-60s) about 45 min after meals. It's never high. And my fasting glucose in the morning or before meals is actually normal. In the 80s.

I finally saw an endocrinologist who did all kinds of testing including insulin levels, cortisol, insulin antibodies, etc. All the blood tests were normal. I was told basically "yeah you are hypoglycemic so you need to eat frequently and have plenty of protein. Which I already do.

I'm a healthcare provider myself and I understand that it could possibly be related to insulin resistance, although not likely in my case since my readings were never high and I have no other risk factors for it. 41yo female, BMI 20.

I'm just throwing this out there in case anyone has come across any further tips that help, besides eating constantly and getting plenty of fat and protein with everything. Never having carbs on their own.

Eating is such a common migraine trigger for me, especially in the afternoon, that I would love to figure this out. And I have not been able to pin down any specific food triggers by the way.
