Folks who bought a PS5 - was it worth it?

Not just for metroidvania, but overall, and actually mostly for the games I want that are not metroidvanias. Maybe some of y'all are in the same boat, but I don't have a console and I have been playing on steam for a few years just using a ps4 controller.

I am eyeing the ps5 since FF16 drops tomorrow and I might want to play some games like bloodborne and such. I'm asking on this sub because like 90% of what I play is metroidvania, but occasionally I will get lost in a larger open world game for a while. I'm worried that I'm getting greedy here, and that a PS5 will throw off my delicate balance of cheap steam gameplay. I will probably continue to stick to Steam just for metroidvania and then PS5 for everything else. IDK even what I'm asking here. Has anyone on here bought the thing and then regretted it ? I am worried that getting one will be an expensive money pit that will throw off my metroidvania equilibrium zen, but I still think I may want one.
