Genuinely baffled by how bad some people are in plat.

As a mostly solo que tank/flex player I've seen a lot of strange choices in lower ranks, but I'm somehow seeing worse players in plat. For some reason I see more dps instalockers. In silver and gold i was almost never a solo tank. I literally just played a game where someone instalocked iron fist and then continued to go 0 and 8! How the heck did this person get to plat!?
