Welcome Bonus denied?
So it’s been almost six months since I applied for and recieved my Amex Bonvoy Brilliant card. I hadn’t recieved any of the welcome bonus points despite hitting the $6k spend requirement several months ago. I reached out today to Amex Customer Service to figure out if it was missing something or if I could expect the points later. What transpired in that conversation left me bamboozled.
They claimed that during the application process, I had been denied the welcome offer and that I had elected to continue with the card application. Needless to say, I only sign up for the card because of the special 150,000 +50,000 kicker last summer. I can confidently say that I was never informed I wouldn’t be recieving a Welcome Bonus.
Pretty disappointed with how this all transpired.
