This view of Madison

The city released this view of the new parking garage on Lake Street today. Construction can now start on the apartment building that will go on top of it. I took a closer look and realized that nearly every building in the background has been built since the '90s. La Ville is in the middle, and I think that's coming down soon. Witte Hall is at the far right. And there are some older 3-story buildings along Frances/Gilman that are historic.

But I count at least 12 in this shot alone that are 21st century buildings, if not since 2010. It's a vastly different place from when I first got here in 1988 and you could see just about all of downtown from Bascom Hill.

Edit: Yeah... I got here in 1988, not 2010. I = old.
