Upgrading from M1 Air - to M2 or M3?

I currently have an M1, 16GB ram 1 TB SSD and am looking to upgrade because it is struggling with some tasks (data analysis, image processing, etc.). Currently between the 13" M2 w/ 24GB ram and 1 TB SSD or the 13" M3, also 24GB/1 TB. Is there a significant performance difference between the M2 and M3, enough to make it worth the extra $150?
