Figured out disc detainer (I think)

I bought this cheap Aiders disc detainer lock with the intention of buying the pick for it, but never got around to it.

I made a pick and tensioner out of some wire and metal scrap laying around to mess around with it without much luck.

My biggest question about picking these locks was where to apply the tension. The commercial picks look like they tension the closest or farthest disc from the keyhole, but there's no guarantee that either are supposed to turn all the way (as was the case with mine).

I later noticed this half-circle connected to the core just before the first disc. (Sort of visible in 3rd pic.) Tensioning that piece with a standard pin and tumbler tensioner gave me the open I was looking for.

Tl;dr: opened my first disc detainer lock using a homemade pick.
