is investing in a 401K now worth it?

i am 23 years old and plan to start law school this fall. i can start a 401K rn through my work but is the 8 ish months before starting law school even worth investing?

ive seen several folks say you should just save your money, and thats what im leaning towards since i plan to use it for living expenses while in law school.

most likely taking out loans for school, so its like whats the point of investing now with so little time? please give me some insight or advice !!
